Cerro Grande Mining Corporation is a gold and copper producing Company with gold/copper sales from its Pimenton Mine of US $27,445,000 for its fiscal year ended September 30, 2012. The Pimenton Mine employs a total of 310 people and is located four hours’ drive north of Santiago at an altitude of 3,200 meters.
The Company has been continuously engaged in exploring for gold vein extensions at the Pimenton mine using its own diamond drill rigs as well as ongoing underground exploration and development.
Pimenton also hosts several porphyry copper targets with NI 43-101 established resources on which the Company will continue drilling in early 2013. The Pimenton claims encompass nearly 3,500 hectares.
The Company plans to conduct further exploration for high grade veins in its Tordillo gold/copper prospect in early 2013. Tordillo claims total some 7,000 hectares and lie 12 kilometers to the south west of Pimenton.
The Santa Cecilia project is located in the Maricunga gold belt of Chile and directly adjacent to Exeter Resource’s Caspiche Project and 16 kilometers to the south of Kinross Gold Corporation’s Maricunga gold mine and 12 kilometers to north-north west of the Cerro Casale Project owned by Barrick Gold Corporation (75%) and Kinross (25%).
